My second post ever was my favorite iPhone apps from the appstore and Rock. Alot as happened since then. The iPhone 4 came out, as well as numerous software updates and new app updates that no longer worked on lower firmwares. Which sucked if you required an older one for jailbreak. But anyways that's how it was and all is well now.
And as you all know (if you're an iPhone jailbreaker) Rock was bought out by Cydia so I felt the need to update my list. Some may be duplicates. But if an app can hold my attention for more than a year, kudos.
Also, They’re in no particular order. Unless specified the list is random.
APPSTORE
GAMES
1. 
Hanging with friends. I’ts basically scrabble with your friends but you get points for the letters and the word or letter scores like in scrabble. Owned by Zynga which now owns Words with Friends.
2. 
Doodle God/Devil/Farm. These you have to put two things together to create a new one. You have basic elements to start with then just click and click.
EXAMPLE: FROM DOODLE DEVIL--HUMAN+LIFE=CORPSE CORPSE+LIFE=ZOMBIE
3. 
Alchemy. A lot like Doodle God but I like the interface of the Doodles better. This has the elements in a row at the top. Click on the two you want and drag them into each other.
4. 
Any talking thing. I don’t personally like these, but they keep my son entertained. And an entertained toddler means getting things done. There are many to choose from but I put up four of his favorite. Talking Roby, Talking Tom, Talking Rex, and Talking Harry. Warning: Talking Rex makes your voice lower making for an annoying and semi-retarded sound.
5. 
Veggie Samurai. Very much like the popular Fruit Ninja but in Veggie Samurai you can chop fruit multiple times and it has different things to do, like only chop potatoes or only let peppers pass.
NON-GAMES I DON’T REALLY HAVE FAVORITES SO THIS IS A LIST OF THE ONES I USE MOST OFTEN
1. 
Facebook. Still on the list. I hate it, but it is much easier to use than safari. It seems with every app update it has more bugs, but like I said, easier than safari.
2. 
HBOGo. If you have HBO on DishNetwork, DirecTv, SuddenLink, AT&T U-verse, Charter, xfinity, Verizon, (and RCN and Cox are in beta) plus an unlimited or high data package you need this app. You can pretty much watch anything that’s been on HBO. Its super easy to navigate and I’ve had no playback issues other than it pausing when you get any kind of notification.
3. 
The Weather Channel. Its been extremely hot (110’s) the past week and I’m always checking TWC to see if rain is predicted or lower temps. Its pretty much accurate as weather forecasting goes and its refreshed frequently.
4. 
Windows Live Messenger. Now with facebook chat integrated into windows live messenger 2011 it makes it easy to chat on the go. Push notifications when you recieve an IM is so much better than checking the FB apps chat every few minutes when doing something else.
5. 
Skype. Will work with the 3GS but standing in front of a mirror is pretty much a requirement. Able to do pretty much everything in the app as you can on the desktop version. (A wifi connection is a requirement but Ill teach you how to get around that in the next section ;])
CYDIA
I DON’T DOWNLOAD GAMES FROM CYDIA SO I’M NOT GOING TO DO CATEGORIES ON THIS ONE, OR PICTURES (SORRY) THE APP DESCRIPTION WILL TELL YOU WHAT IT IS.
FIRST OFF, BEFORE I GO INTO THIS, JAILBREAK AND DOWNLOAD AT YOUR OWN RISK. IT IS NO LONGER ILLEGAL TO DO SO (THATS WHAT ALL THE UPDATES ARE ABOUT BTW) BUT SOME APPS FROM CYDIA MAY ALTER THE WAY YOUR iPHONE RUNS. FREEZING AND SPRINGBOARD CRASHING ARE THE TOP OF THE LIST.
1. Installous. I do NOT condone piracy but I REFUSE to pay money for an app that I have no idea Ill like. So I used Installous. Search or Browse the selection, which as pretty much anything you’re looking for, and download. I find using fileape is the easiest. IF YOU DOWNLOAD FROM INSTALLOUS AND LIKE THE GAME PLEASE BUY IT FROM THE APPSTORE AND SUPPORT THE DEVELOPER. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE DO DO HOURS UPON HOURS UPON HOURS OF WORK. THEN HAVE TO FIX YOUR WORK ALL THE TIME AND NOT GET PAID WHAT YOU SHOULD. YEAH. THINK ABOUT IT. ADD SOURCE SINFULIPHONEREPO.COM
2. Winterboard. Requirement for 99% of themes and mods. Easy to use
3. Dreamboard. Requirement for 1% of themes. When this has more options available winterboard will be rendered useless for themes.
4. Categories. Yup, still on the list. Put more apps in folders. Name folder and choose folder image.
5. PDANet. Now with AT&T watching for users tethering its become more difficult. Sure theres the “I use pandora (or hbogo) all day” excuse you can give or my recent “whats tethering?” dumb act. Or you could get PDANet. It “hides” that you’re tethering. It has two levels of stealth mode. 1. does the job for me. No more messages from at&t. and 2. is for people at&t is watching and basically it goes to the mobile version of every webpage
6. MyWi. The only reason I still use MyWi is because PDANet doesn’t seem to work with my husbands touch or my ps3. It also has a bluetooth connection option if you’re into that stuff.
7. MakTorch. It makes it possible to use the iphone 4 flash as a flash light. Very simple interface. push and hold the big button for times you only need the light for a second. or slide the switch for walking. NO MORE SHAKE TO TURN OFF! I hated that cause I’m not one of those people that need a light to stand still. I move, my phone moves. my phone moves, that crap turned off.
NOW FOR THE THEMES AND MODS I HAVE
1. Endroid- Dreamboard theme. looks like an android phone
2. Aero- Dreamboard theme. looks like windows 7 (desktop not phone)
3. Boxer HD- Dreamboard theme. a spin off windows 7 phones.
4. AndroidLock XT- change the slide to unlock to a pattern like android.
5. Synchronicity- Mod so you can use your idevice while it syncs!
6. MakeItMine- Again a repeat. I love that I can get rid off the AT&T logo at the top and make it what I want. It also lets you change the banner(clock) but I like being able to see the time at the top.
7. 3G Unrestrictor- Makes the apps you choose think they are using a wifi connection instead of 3G. works great with itunes and appstore when downloading large apps. and also, WORKS WITH SKYPE! DOES NOT WORK WITH FACETIME (does not work with the ipod touch obviously)
8. FaceBreak- Makes facetime think you are on wifi instead of 3G (does not work with the ipod touch obviously)
